Kola Daisi University (KDU) is a Private University founded by Chief Kola Daisi, CON, Bashorun of Ìbàdàn and it is located in Ibadan Oyo state. It was established in March 2011 in association with the Kola Daisi Foundation (KDF). The University, after approval by the Federal Executive Council, was properly licensed by the National Universities Commission to operate as a Private University in November 2016.


The University has taken up the mission to nurture graduates with high employability attributes and competencies to help transform our country into global reckoning and position of pride in all human endeavours. This mission was set to achieve the vision of being a world-class institution of excellence in the production of graduates able to respond appropriately to the socio-economic needs of a knowledge-driven economy.



KDU is a private university that offers diverse undergraduate academic programs ranging from JUPEB, UTME, and DIRECT ENTRY to REMEDIAL PROGRAM. The University undergoes the registration of new courses every year and currently, the courses available for studies in any of the mentioned programs are as follows:

The effective commencement of all these academic courses has been approved by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC).

General admission requirements

Admission into 100 level through UTME

To qualify for the admission into 100 level at KDU, qualified candidates are required to have a minimum five (5) ‘O’ level credits in SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or equivalents.
All applicants are expected to have sat for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and meet the required national cut-off score.

Qualified candidates will then be required to complete the University on-line application form by and then start getting prepared for the University screening exercise.
Admission into 200 level (Direct Entry).

Candidates applying for admission into 200 level must possess the following qualifications

At least two ‘A’ level passes in the relevant subjects in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies.
Ordinary Level Certificate with required qualifications in the relevant subjects as (I) above.

Application for JUPEB program

Eligible candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to the candidates’ course of study in the University in not more than two (2) sittings.
Remedial program.

The program is opened to candidates with credits in the 5 relevant subjects or to those who have deficiencies in not more than 2 out of the 5 required subjects.

Apart from English Language and Mathematics, the three other subjects offered in the program must be in line with UTME subjects combination required for admission into any Nigerian Universities.

The school fees are quite affordable, and it varies for all faculties and program types. For the ongoing 2019/2020 academic session, fresh students upon admission are to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦20,000:00, a refundable caution fee of #10,000:00, an academic programs book fee worth ₦2,000:00, tuition fee worth ₦300,000:00 and other miscellaneous fees. The maximum total of all fees, in general, is around ₦500,000:00.
However, the University has a flexible school fees plan to provide conveniences in the payment of school fees. Such flexibility allows students to pay their school fees in instalments. Students can pay in full at once or in not more than three instalments provided all payments are made before the middle of the second semester.
