How To Borrow Airtime From MTN, 9mobile, Airtel And Glo Without Paying Back

In recent times, the cost of call tariffs and data plans have increased exponentially. A minimal recharge of N100 is no longer sufficient for one to have a meaningful and uninterrupted conversation with his or her loved one, and there’s always a lady at the telecom company’s end waiting to remind one that s/he has one minute remaining, even when they have not finished their conversation.

It has also not been very easy for people to recharge. With the economic fluctuations that we have faced as a country, people are beginning to explore ways to cut living costs, including the amounts of money they spend on such things as phone calls. People budget for their periodic phone calls, but it almost never lasts for the designated period.

To help subscribers stay on course with whatever conversations they may have to engage in, telecom companies set out to discover solutions that will keep people temporarily connected on phone, even without airtime. A service called ‘borrow-me-airtime’ service was birthed. It allows subscribers to borrow a certain amount of airtime from their network providers, for use to continue their conversations. The amount borrowed will be paid back at their next recharge, and for each amount they borrow, a charge of 15% of the amount is deducted by the network provider.

Initially, people were happy with the service, and began to patronize it. Truly, it helped people to stay in touch more; but, in the long run, it kept them in debt. The system was so configured that, people could only borrow an amount that was consistent with their regular recharges; and, once they reached that threshold amount, they would not be able to borrow again, neither would they be able to make calls again, until they settled their debt.

This borrow-me recharge service was revolutionary, but it soon became a problem. People had debt piled up, and had no means to pay back yet. As a result, communication was cut, and many people lost business deals, many relationships were broken, and many opportunities were lost. People began to search for a way to avoid paying back their debts, while still being able to use their SIM cards to make regular calls. However, they have not been successful in their efforts.

The issue of the ability to borrow airtime and avoid paying back is a very crucial matter. Many times, people borrow large amounts like one thousand naira, and they have no money to repay the debt. As a result, they are stuck and cannot recharge their lines again. Because they cannot make calls due to the debt, their respective phone lines become almost useless to them.

This post brings great news and glad tidings of great joy to all who may be in those shoes. We have finally found a way to crack the code of how to borrow airtime from your favourite telecom service provider, without having to worry about paying back. That is, you can borrow whatever amount you like, and not worry about paying back.

Before now, this has been a total impossibility, perhaps even considered as preposterous. But the good news now is that, thanks to technology, innovation and creativity, it is now possible to borrow airtime without paying back.

This post outlines the steps for you to borrow airtime from your favourite network provider, without bothering to pay back – and at no extra cost! Ensure to religiously put these steps and principles into practice, as any deviation from the methods described will render your attempts at bypassing the compulsory pay-back of your airtime debt futile.

How to borrow airtime from MTN and Airtel without paying back

The first thing you need to do is to first borrow airtime. To borrow airtime on MTN, follow the steps below:

To borrow airtime from MTN:

  • Simply dial, from your registered MTN phone number, *606#.
  • Follow the on-screen prompt, and enter the option for ‘Borrow Airtime’.
  • From the options that come up again, select the amount that you wish to borrow. Note that, under normal circumstances, amounts available to borrow range include N50 naira, N100 naira, N150 naira, N200 naira, N500 naira, and N1,000 naira, depending on the frequency of your recharges in the last few months.
  • After you have selected your desired amount, a service charge of 15% of the total amount will be deducted, and the remainder will be credited to your account.

To borrow airtime from Airtel, follow the steps below:

To borrow airtime from Airtel:

  • Simply dial, from your registered Airtel phone number, *500#.
  • Follow the on-screen command, and select the option that corresponds with ‘Borrow Airtime’.
  • From the options that come up again, select the amount that you wish to borrow. Note that, under normal circumstances, amounts available to borrow range include N50 naira, N100 naira, N150 naira, N200 naira, and N500 naira, depending on the magnitude and frequency of your recharges in the few months preceding the time you apply for the ‘borrow-me’ service.
  • After you have selected your desired amount, a service charge of 15% of the total amount will be deducted, and the remainder will be credited to your account.

Now, after you have borrowed the airtime, don’t worry, you’re well on course. Make as many calls as you desire, until the airtime is totally exhausted, and your account balance reads a negative sign (i.e. -N200). Please note that this method works perfectly well for both MTN and Airtel subscribers.

Step 1:

After you have finished the borrowed airtime, remove your SIM Card (the one you used to borrow the airtime) from your phone. Keep it in the sun for six hours, and let the gold-faced side face direct sunlight. It must face direct sunlight for a minimum of six hours, to allow for the reconfiguration of the panel that accounts for your negative account balance. If you leave it for less than six hours, the operation might not be successful.

The next thing is to ensure that the memory of the SIM is wiped. Now, this will not erase your contacts stored on the SIM, but will erase the memory of the airtime you borrowed. To do this, proceed to step 2.

Step 2:

Retrieve your SIM card from the sunlight. Please, ensure that it does not overstay in sunlight, as this could damage other components of the SIM. This step two operation is the most crucial of the steps, as it ensures that the part of your SIM that holds the memory of the airtime you borrowed, the calls you made with the borrowed airtime, and the negative account balance, are all totally wiped out, leaving every other thing intact, including your contacts.

Now, after retrieving your SIM from sunlight, look for a clean cotton cloth that is yellow or red in colour. Airtel subscribers are advised to use red, while MTN subscribers are to use yellow. Tie your SIM tightly in the yellow or red cloth, and dip it in a solution of methylated spirit. Leave it like that for 24 hours. One of the things that guarantees success in this step is your attention to time detail. Ensure that it does not exceed 24 hours in the solution of methylated spirit, otherwise, the process will fail. Now, once it is tied, leave it in a place where nobody will disturb it, then go and sleep, minding the time.

The step three is the final step.

Step 3:

Now, retrieve your SIM from the methylated spirit solution, and place it on a flat surface. Now, after you have done that, face the direction of the SIM, place your right hand on your head, and place your left hand on your chest. Say these words: “I receive sense!”

Repeat this mantra forty times, and pick up your SIM. Put it back in your phone. If it is still working, your negative balance will still be there; if it is not working, go and buy another SIM and continue your life.

How to borrow airtime from Glo & 9mobile without paying back:

The first thing you need to do is to first borrow airtime. To borrow airtime on Glo, follow the steps below:

To borrow airtime from Glo mobile:

  • Simply dial, from your registered Glo phone number, *321#.
  • Follow the on-screen command, and select the option that corresponds with ‘Borrow Airtime’.
  • From the options that come up again, select the amount that you wish to borrow. Note that, under normal circumstances, amounts available to borrow range include N50 naira, N100 naira, N150 naira, N200 naira, N500 naira, and N1,000 naira, depending on how much and how often you have recharged in the past few months.
  • After you have selected your desired amount, a service charge of 15% of the total amount will be deducted, and the remainder will be credited to your account.

To borrow airtime from 9mobile:

  • Simply dial, from your registered 9mobile phone number, *665#.
  • Follow the on-screen command, and select the option that corresponds with ‘Borrow Airtime’.
  • From the on-screen options, select the amount that you wish to borrow. Note that, under normal circumstances, amounts available to borrow range include N50 naira, N100 naira, N150 naira, N200 naira, N500 naira, and N1,000 naira, depending on the frequency of your recharges in the last few months.
  • Immediately you select and enter your desired amount, a service charge of 15% of the total amount will be deducted, and the remainder will be credited to your account.

Now, after you have borrowed the airtime, you will be required to first make as many calls as you choose. It is advised that you borrow a large amount, like N1,000 naira, as it will be more effective to bypass he system for paying back.

Please note that this method works perfectly well for both Glo and 9mobile subscribers.

Follow these steps to avoid paying back your borrowed airtime.

Step 1:

Call your customer care. Customer care are called ‘customer care’ because they are there to listen to your complaints and provide solutions for your needs. If you have borrowed airtime and do not want to pay back, particularly if you are a Glo or 9mobile subscriber, the first thing to do is to call customer care. They are trained to be very patient, polite and philanthropic. Call them, gist with them, ask about their life and work, and then tell them you need their assistance. Tell them that you borrowed airtime and that you do not want to pay back because you do not have the money, and ask them to reset your account balance on their system over there. It’s that simple. You should try your luck!

Step 2:

If by any means, step one does not work for you, it means that you have a problem, and maybe those who have been following you from your village have finally caught up with you. However, before they deal with you, here is another quick solution. Remove your SIM Card from your mobile phone. Please ensure that it is the SIM that you borrowed airtime on that you perform this step on. If you do it on any other SIM, it is at your own peril.

Now, once you have removed it from the phone, dip it in fuel, and light a match stick on it. Naturally, it should begin to burn, and you will see it begin to squeeze. At this point, say bye-bye to your SIM. The good news is that, with the SIM card gone, you no longer have to pay for the airtime you owe! Simple!

I really hope that at least one of the solutions discussed here works for you.

THE MORAL HERE IS THAT IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BORROW AIRTIME AND NOT PAY BACK. IF YOU HAVE BORROWED AIRTIME, ENSURE THAT YOU PAY BACK, AS RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE WOULD.

Thank you.
