It is not surprising that most Nigerians will want to know the age of the Shoki and Efejoku crooner. Born Keshrinro Ololade on March 14, 1995 in Bariga, a suburb of Lagos State, Lil Kesh is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter.
Lil Kesh’s professional music career began in 2012 but became popular after releasing his first single titled “Lyrically” which quickly became popular in Nigerian universities. Through YBNL Nation, Lil Kesh released “Shoki” which rose to critical acclaim from music critics.
Shoki got him nominated in the Best Street-Hop Artiste category at The Headies in 2014 while “Shoki Remix” which featured guest appearances from Olamide and Davido got nominated in the Hottest Single of the Year at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
On 2 April 2014, he signed his first music contract with YBNL Nation. Afterward, he has released a song and his debut album titled Y.A.G.I which has earned him a lot of nominations. On April 26, 2016, Lil Kesh announced on Instagram that he has established his own label record called YAGI Records with Olamide later confirming the news through the same medium after Lil Kesh’s 2-year recording contract with YBNL Nation expired.
Lil Kesh’s versatility and style of music has been described to be similar to that of famous Nigerian rapper, Olamide who raps in his local dialect. However, he has been criticized heavily for using too much obscene words and not finding the appropriate balance in the lyrics of his songs. Back to the question, ascertaining Lil Kesh’s age isn’t difficult. Simply deduct 1995 from this year and voila! You have your answer.
