Nigerians unquestionably continue to battle against the global pandemic coronavirus disease. According to the Nigerian Government, the nation has recorded the highest new case of coronavirus infection on Thursday evening, May 21, 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported three hundred and thirty-nine (339) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official count of 1706 confirmed cases, 1907 discharged cases and 211 reported dead. The report on the coronavirus disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter account just before midnight.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across eighteen (18) states. The state includes: one hundred and thirty-nine (139) tested positive in Lagos, twenty-eight (28) in Kano, eighteen (18) in Kaduna, fourteen (14) in Jigawa, thirteen (13) in Yobe, thirteen (13) in Plateau, eleven (1) in FCT Abuja, eight (8) in Gbombe, five (5) in Ogun, four (4) in Bauchi, four (4) in Nasarawa, three (3) in Delta, two (2) in Ondo, one (1) in Rivers and one (1) in Adamawa State.
