Coronavirus Cases (COVID19) Rise to 5959, 1594 Discharged and 182 Dead in Nigeria

On Sunday evening, May 17, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded new cases of the coronavirus disease. Nigerians continue to fight against the global pandemic coronavirus infection. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported three hundred and thirty-eight (338) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 5959 confirmed cases, 1594 discharged cases and 182 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter page approximately 11:44PM.

The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across eighteen (18) states. The state includes: one hundred and seventy-seven (177) tested positive in Lagos, sixty-four (64) in Kano, twenty-one (21) in FCT Abuja, sixteen (16) in Rivers, fourteen (14) in Plateau, eleven (11) in Oyo, nine (9) in Katsina, four (4) in Jigawa, four (4) in Kaduna, three (3) in Abia, three (3) in Bauchi, three (3) in Borno, two (2) in Gombe, two (2) in Akwa-Ibom, two (2) in Delta, one (1) in Ondo, one (1) in Kebbi and one (1) in Sokoto.
