Coronavirus Cases (COVID19) Rise to 5621, 1472 Discharged and 176 Dead in Nigeria

On Saturday evening, May 16, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded new cases of the coronavirus disease. Nigerians continue to fight against the global pandemic coronavirus infection. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported one hundred and seventy-six (176) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 5621 confirmed cases, 1472 discharged cases and 176 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter account early hour of the morning.

The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across fourteen (14) states. The state includes: ninety-five (95) tested positive in Lagos, thirty-one (31) in Oyo, eleven (11) in FCT Abuja, eight (8) in Niger, eight (8) in Borno, six (6) in Jigawa, four (4) in Kaduna, three (3) in Adamawa, two (2) in Edo, two (2) in Rivers, two (2) in Nasarawa, two (2) in Bauchi, one (1) in Benue and one (1) in Zamfara.
