On Friday evening, May 15, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded new cases of the coronavirus disease. Nigerians continue to combat against the global pandemic coronavirus disease. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported two hundred and eighty-eight (288) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 5445 confirmed cases, 1320 discharged cases and 171 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter account early hour of the morning.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across fifteen (15) states. The state includes: one hundred and seventy-nine (179) tested positive in Lagos, twenty (20) in Katsina, fifteen (15) in Jigawa, thirteen (13) in Borno, eleven (11) in Ogun, eight (8) in Kano, seven (7) in FCT Abuja, four (4) in Niger, four (4) in Ekiti, three (3) in Oyo, three (3) in Delta, three (3) in Bauchi, two (2) in Kwara and one (1) in Edo.
On the 14th of May, 4 cases reported from Plateau & 1 case from Akwa Ibom, were repeat cases
Therefore Plateau has a total of 21
cases and Akwa Ibom has a total of 16 cases
