The number of coronavirus confirmed cases is increasing exponentially in Nigeria lately. People unarguably continue to war against the current global pandemic health crisis known as coronavirus disease. The country has recorded new cases of coronavirus disease on Tuesday evening, May 13, according to the Nigerian Government agency. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported one hundred and eighty-four (184) confirmed new coronavirus infection cases. There has been an official record of 4971 confirmed cases, 1070 discharged cases and 164 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was tweeted by NCDC just before midnight.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across twenty-two (22) states. The state includes: fifty-one (51) tested positive in Lagos, twenty-three (23) in Jigawa, sixteen (16) in Bauchi, sixteen (16) in Katsina, fourteen (14) in Kano, ten (10) in FCT Abuja, ten (10) in Rivers, nine (9) in Kwara, five (5) in Delta, five (5) in Kaduna, four (4) in Sokoto, four (4) in Oyo, three (3) in Kebbi, three (3) in Nasarawa, three (3) in Osun, two (2) in Ondo, one (1) in Ebonyi, one (1) in Edo, one (1) in Enugu, one (1) in Anambra, one (1) in Plateau and one (1) in River State.
