Nigerians unquestionably continue to combat and suffer from the global pandemic coronavirus disease for some weeks now. On Thursday evening, April 23, 2020, the Nigerian Government has documented new cases of the coronavirus infection. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has announced an additional one hundred and eight (108) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official count of 981 confirmed cases, 197 discharged cases and 31 reported dead. The information on the corona disease cases was reported by NCDC official Twitter account at about 11:30 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across 8 states. The state includes: seventy-eight (78) tested positive in Lagos, fourteen (14) in FCT Abuja, five (5) in Ogun, four (4) in Gombe, three (3) in Borno, three (3) in Akwa-Ibom, one (1) in Kwara and one (1) in Plateau State.
