Nigerians undoubtedly continue to battle fiercely from the global pandemic coronavirus disease. On Wednesday evening, April 22, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded new cases of the coronavirus disease as expected. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported additional ninety-one (91) confirmed new coronavirus infection cases. There has been an official count of 873 confirmed cases, 197 discharged cases and 29 reported deceased. The information on the corona disease cases was reported by NCDC official Twitter page approximately 11:25 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across 9 states. The state includes: seventy-four (74) tested positive in Lagos, five (5) in Katsina, four (4) in Ogun, two (2) in Edo, two (2) in Delta, one (1) in FCT Abuja, one (1) in Adamawa and one (1) in Kwara State.
