On Tuesday evening, April 20, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded the highest number of new cases of the coronavirus disease to date. According to the Government report, Lagos State has the highest of confirmed new coronavirus infection, FCT Abuja confirmed 29 new coronavirus cases, followed by Kano State with 14 and Borno with 6 confirmed new coronavirus disease. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported one hundred and seventeen (117) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official count of 782 confirmed cases, 197 discharged cases and 25 reported dead. The report on the corona disease cases was announced by NCDC official Twitter account at about 11:25 PM.
The new coronavirus cases were reported across 8 states. The state includes: fifty-nine (59) tested positive in Lagos, twenty-nine (29) in FCT Abuja, fourteen (14) in Borno, four (4) in Katsina, three (3) in Ogun, one (1) in River and one (1) in Bauchi.
