Coronavirus Cases (COVID19) Rise to 2950, 481 Discharged and 98 Dead in Nigeria

On Sunday evening, May 5, 2020, the Nigerian Government has recorded new cases of the coronavirus deadly disease. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported one hundred and forty-eight (148) confirmed new coronavirus infection cases. There has been an official count of 2950 confirmed cases, 481 discharged cases and 98 reported dead. The information on the corona disease cases was reported by NCDC official Twitter page just before midnight.

 

The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across seventeen (17) states. The state includes: forty-three (43) tested positive in Lagos, thirty-two (32) in Kano, fourteen (14) in Zamfara, ten (10) in FCT Abuja, nine (9) in Katsina, seven (7) in Taraba, seven (7) in Borno, six (6) in Ogun, five (5) in Oyo, three (3) in Bauchi, three (3) in Edo, three (3) in Kaduna, two (2) in Adamawa, two (2) in Gombe, one (1) in Plateau, one (1) in Sokoto and one (1) in Kebbi State.
