The number of confirmed coronavirus disease cases is increasing tremendously in Nigeria recently. Nigerians unquestionably continue to fight against the global pandemic coronavirus disease. According to the Nigerian Government agency, the country has recorded new cases of coronavirus infection on Monday evening, May 4 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported two hundred and forty-five (245) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 2802 confirmed cases, 417 discharged cases and 93 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was disclosed by NCDC official Twitter account approximately 11:45 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across sixteen (16) states. The state includes: seventy-six (76) tested positive in Lagos, thirty-seven (37) in Katsina, thirty-two (32) in Jigawa, twenty-three (23) in Kano, nineteen (19) in FCT Abuja, eighteen (18) in Borno, ten (10) in Edo, nine (9) in Bauchi, six (6) in Adamawa, five (5) in Oyo, five (5) in Ogun, one (1) in Ekiti, one (1) in Osun, one (1) in Benue, one (1) in Niger and one (1) in Zamfara State.
