The number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases is rising significantly in Nigeria lately and the Federal Government has publicised to slowly ease the lockdown effective from Monday 4th, 2020. Fellow citizens indisputably continue to battle against the global pandemic coronavirus disease. According to the Nigerian Government agency, the nation has recorded the 220 new cases of coronavirus disease on Friday evening, May 2, 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported two hundred and twenty (220) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 2388 confirmed cases, 385 discharged cases and 85 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter page roughly 11:55 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across nineteen (19) states. The state includes: sixty-two (62) tested positive in Lagos, fifty-two (52) in FCT Abuja, thirty-one (31) in Kaduna, thirteen (13) in Sokoto, ten (10) in Kebbi, nine (9) in Yobe, six (6) in Borno, five (5) in Edo, five (5) in Bauchi, four (4) in Gbombe, four (4) in Enugu, four (4) in Oyo, three (3) in Zamfara, two (2) in Nasarawa, two (2) in Osun, two (2) in Ebonyi, two (2) in Kwara, two (2) in Kano and two in Plateau State.
