The number of coronavirus confirmed cases is constantly increasing in Nigeria recently and the Federal Government has announced to gently ease the lockdown starting from Monday 4th, 2020. People unquestionably continue to fight against the global pandemic coronavirus infection. According to the Nigerian Government, the country has recorded the highest new case of coronavirus disease on Friday evening, May 1, 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has officially reported two hundred and thirty-eight (238) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official record of 2170 confirmed cases, 351 discharged cases and 68 reported dead in 34 states and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The report on the corona disease cases was revealed by NCDC official Twitter page roughly 11:00 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across twenty-two (22) states. The state includes: ninety-two (92) tested positive in Kano, thirty-six (36) in FCT Abuja, thirty (30) in Lagos, sixteen (16) in Gombe, ten (10) in Bauchi, eight (8) in Delta, five (5) in Oyo, five (5) in Zamfara, five (5) in Sokoto, four (4) in Ondo, four (4) in Nasarawa, three (3) in Kwara, three (3) in Edo, three (3) in Ekiti, three (3) in Borno, three (3) in Yobe, two (2) in Adamawa. One (1) in Niger, one (1) in Imo, one (1) in Ebonyi, one (1) in Rivers, and one (1) in Enugu State.
