Nigerians undeniably continue to struggle and fight from the global pandemic coronavirus disease. According to the Nigerian Government, the nation has recorded the highest new case of coronavirus infection on Friday evening, April 23, 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has documented one hundred and fourteen (114) confirmed new coronavirus disease cases. There has been an official count of 1095 confirmed cases, 208 discharged cases and 32 reported dead. The information on the corona disease cases was announced by NCDC official Twitter account at about 11:30 PM.
The new confirmed coronavirus cases were reported across 9 states. The state includes: eighty (80) tested positive in Lagos, twenty-one (21) in Gombe, five (5) in FCT Abuja, two (2) in Zamfara, two (2) in Edo, two (2) in Ogun, one (1) in Oyo, one (1) in Kaduna and one (1) in Sokoto State.
