Coronavirus: After Full Recovery, Health-workers Discharges 16 COVID-19 Cases in Lagos

After a rigorous test and careful consideration, the Lagos epicentre of Coronavirus has documented another huge accomplishment in the COVID-19 fight as sixteen (16) persons were recuperated from the Coronavirus disease on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his remarkable report said, patients are discharged once they test negative twice for COVID-19. The sixteen (16) CONVID-19 free patients discharged are 14 males and 2 women, which include three immigrants (one British, one Chinese and one Polish citizen). It was stated through his Twitter account.

In his official announcement, Governor Sanwo-Olu tweeted “Good people of Lagos, I have more great news from our isolation facilities. 16 persons; 14 males and 2 females including 3 foreigners – 1 British, 1 Chinese and 1 Polish citizen have been discharged to join the society. “The patients; 14 from IDH, Yaba and 2 from Onikan Isolation centre have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19. “This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 85.”

While still dealing with the virus disease that befalls the country, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urges people to do all within their means to stop the spread of the life-threatening virus by staying safe at home, observing social distance and embracing good personal hygiene. Furthermore, he said, “We will continue to do our best as Government to cushion the effect of this lockdown by re-energizing our welfare package. Please keep faith with us as we work to win this battle together.”
