Breaking: Muhammed Goni, Former Governor of Borno is dead

On Wednesday evening, April 29, 2020, the former Governor of Borno, Alhaji Muhammed Goni, died from an undisclosed sickness according to Sahara Reporters news. The announcement of his dismissal was announced by an unknown family member. The 78 years Goni was a retired civil servant who governed the people of Borno State from October 1979 to September 1983.

 

 

The late 78 years former Governor was born in a local town called Kareto, Mobbar local government area, in Borno State. Alhaji Goni schooled in Maiduguri Middle School from 1953 to 1955. Afterwards, he proceeded to Borno Provincial Secondary School from 1956 to 1961, Provincial Secondary School, Kano from 1962 to 1963 and then graduated from the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1964 to 1987, with a Bachelor’s degree Administration, where he specialised in international affairs.
