Adesua Etomi is a Nigerian actress and film producer. Without a doubt, she is one of the most beautiful actresses to have graced the scenes of Nollywood. Her peculiar complexion, shape, mannerisms and competence stands her out as one of the best actresses to have ever come out of Nigeria. She is known for her roles in top blockbuster movies like The Wedding Party part 1 and 2 where she acted alongside her husband Banky W.

Bio:

 

 

 

Adesua Tolulope Etomi was born on the 22nd of February 1986 (even though some sources argue that she was born on the same day in 1988). She was born in Owerri, Imo State, Southeast Nigeria to the family of Mr and Mrs Etomi. She is from Edo state. Her father, Mr Etomi is from Esanland in Edo state while her mother is of Yoruba descent. She attended the prestigious Corona School, Lagos, Nigeria, and later moved to Queen’s College, Lagos. After her basic and secondary school education, she attended City College Coventry in the UK and graduated with a diploma in ‘Physical Theatre, Musical Theatre and Performing Arts.’ She proceeded to study at another institution in the UK, the University of Wolverhampton, where she graduated with a first-class in Drama and Performance.

Family:

 

 

Not much is known about Adesua Etomi’s extended family. However, we do know that she has two older siblings. Also, her mother, Mrs Etomi is a Pastor at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in the United Kingdom.

Concerning her immediate nuclear family, it is no longer news that the delectable actress is married to Nigerian politician, motivational speaker, music and movie star, Bankole Wellington a.k.a. Banky W. The couple got engaged in February 2017. Their traditional wedding ceremony held on 19th November 2017, while the white wedding took place in South Africa on the 25th of November 2017.

As of January 18, 2020, the couple is still expecting their first child. She recently had to take a slight break from her acting career to take of her husband and her home. Banky W was diagnosed with some form of skin cancer and he had to be flown abroad for treatment. During the period, she regularly posted pictures of herself beside her husband in the hospital ward with captions that would make single ladies wish to get married quick. Presently, Banky W is out of the hospital and even recently contested for a federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party.

Before joining acting full-time, Adesua Etomi once worked as a reporter for ‘Smooth Promotions’ in the year 2012. Less than a year later, an opportunity presented itself and she took it with both hands. Since then, Adesua has featured in several top movies throughout her career. Most notable ones include; The Wedding Party (parts 1 and 2), The Arbitration, Falling (which won her the award of Best Actress in Drama at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards), Sheila (seasons 4 and 5), LasGidi Cops and several others.
