Mompha pleaded has “Not Guilty” and remanded in prison custody

Suspected internet fraudster, Ismaila Mustapha, famously known as Mompha, has pleaded not guilty to the N33 billion naira money laundering as well as the internet crime charges that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed against him.

 

Mompha was arraigned at the Federal High Court before Justice Muhammed Liman on a 14-count charge.
Following his “Not guilty” plea, Justice Mohammed summoned that he is remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case till Friday, November 29th for the hearing of his bail application and commencement of trial, defense counsel, Gboyega Oyewole revealed.
