According to Wikipedia, the multi-talented and award-winning Nigerian actor, singer and movie producer was born on the 31st of December, 1978 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. However, he is an indigene of Otun Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He attended St. John’s Primary School and St. Peter’s Secondary School where he obtained the West African School Certificate Examination before proceeding to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, where he received a diploma certificate. Popularly known as Sunday Dagboru, Odunlade started acting at a very early age.
According to him, anytime an anniversary was to hold in his church (the Christ Apostolic Church, Lafenwa, Abeokuta), he and a friend named Tunde would request to play as jesters, and was always granted. He would then write a script for the play involving him and his friend. This marked the actor’s sojourn into the movie industry.
He began acting in 1996, the same year he joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners under the tutelage of late Nollywood actor and producer Ishola Durojaiye (also referred to as Alasari). To his credit, Odunlade has starred in over 100 Yoruba movies. Alongside Fathia Balogun who clinched the ward of best actress of the year in 2004, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award having emerged as the best actor of the year.
