After completing her primary and secondary education in Lagos and Calabar, Kate spent a year reading remedial studies at the University of Calabar before majoring in Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science, LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos. In 1993, Kate Henshaw auditioned for the lead role in the movie, “When the Sun Sets” and was given the role. The movie was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie. Since then, Kate has starred in over 50 movies and is one of Nigeria’s most sought-after actresses.

She also signed a lucrative deal worth millions of naira with one of Nigeria’s telecommunications giant, Globacom. In 1999, Kate got married to a British citizen named Roderick James Nuttal. The couple had their first and only child; a daughter named, Ella Nuttal, and filed for a divorce and got separated in 2011.

The ebony beauty and mother of is also a director and has a number of investments, one of which is the Kate Henshaw Hairdressing and Styling Outfit located in Liverpool, UK. Presently, she is Nollywood’s most valuable actress with a worth of about 70 million Naira and is known to be friendly, unpretentious, extremely humble and God-fearing.
