Federal University Abeokuta: Courses Offered, Admission, Portal & School Fees

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta is a public research university located in Abeokuta, Ogun state, in Western Nigeria. It was established in 1988.  It is one of the three federal universities of Agriculture in the country; the other two being the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike and the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

UNAAB’s academic structure comprises of nine fully-functional faculties/colleges. They are:

Federal University Abeokuta: Admissions

Like every other federal university, admission into UNAAB is very competitive. The admissions process consists of two stages: One, the online application, and the other: a pre-admission screening exercise.

Applications must be from suitably qualified candidates who have chosen the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as their Most Preferred Institution on the prescribed form obtained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Applicants must also possess minimum entry requirements of five (5) O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects at one or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB and fill in the same results online. Applicants are advised to confirm the Admission Requirements into respective Degree Programmes before logging in to fill the e-application form.

Only candidates with completed application before the stipulated deadline will be considered.

All candidates must ensure that they provide accurate bio-data and academic information when filling their application form.

Guidelines for Online Application

  1. Eligible candidates are to access the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta FUNAAB Admission Portal at ‘admission.unaab.edu.ng’, and enter their JAMB UTME or JAMB Direct Entry Registration Numbers to generate and print out their Application Invoice which states their Reference Number and other information on payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, excluding REMITA fees.
  2. Candidates should proceed to any Bank accepting REMITA payment (nationwide) or Online using debit card or via Internet Banking and make payment of the prescribed fee using the REMITA Reference Number.
  3. After payment, candidates are to proceed to FUNAAB Admission Portal and complete the e-application form as appropriate.
  4. Candidates are required to correctly input their Bio-data, O’Level results, OND/HND/NCE/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB results (where applicable) and upload a recent coloured passport photograph (not more than 6 months old).
  5. On uploading of all required details, candidates are expected to first preview and confirm the entries before clicking on Submit on the acknowledgement page.
  6. Candidates should thereafter print out the Application Form displaying their passport photograph.
  7. Correction of wrongly entered data attracts a fee of One Thousand Naira (N1,000) only as penalty and can be effected online not later than the closing date of the application.
  8. No complaint of wrong Bio-Data, O’Level results, OND/HND/NCE/A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB results or blank picture would be entertained.
  9. Candidates who up-load wrong Bio-Data, O’ Level results and UTME/OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB results will be automatically disqualified.

Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (Computer-based) – UTME and DE candidates.

At a date which is usually announced, the University invites all eligible registered candidates for a CBT pre-admission screening. Candidates are thereafter admitted based on the outcome of this screening.

FOR FRESH STUDENTS:

  1. Visit portal.unaab.edu.ng

Fill the acceptance forms;

Print the completed Acceptance Form;

  1. Return online to portal.unaab.edu.ng to generate prescribed School Fees invoice.
  2. Proceed to any bank accepting REMITA including FUNAB Microfinance Bank with your prescribed fees Invoice for payment or pay online using debit card or Internet Banking. Collect evidence of payment.
  3. Return online to portal.unaab.edu.ng to generate your receipt.
  4. Proceed to you respective HOD/Department for further instructions/procedures.

FOR RETURNING STUDENTS:

  1. Visit portal.unaab.edu.ng to generate prescribed School Fees invoice.

  3. Return online to portal.unaab.edu.ng to generate your receipt.
