However, it is important you note that attending a bible school doesn’t automatically make you a pastor. There are other requirements you have to meet depending on your church or denomination.
Rhema Bible Training Institute, Nigeria
RBTI was established in Abuja in 2010 with about 100 students and is also known as Rhema Nigeria. This bible school was founded by an English couple, Rev. Matthew and Julie Beemer and presently headed by Rev. Tokunbo Adejuwon.
This institute is a branch of Rhema Bible Training Institute, Worldwide which is a brainchild of the popular Pentecostal preacher, Rev Kenneth Hagin.
Rhema Nigeria has 3 training centers; these include centers in Abuja, Kaduna and Port Harcourt.
Presently, Rhema Nigeria has over 1000 enrolled students. RBTI provides you with the practical skills and spiritual disciplines for success. The institute offers hands-on training and awards you an internationally recognized diploma at the end of your training.
Whether you’re just starting out in ministry or you’ve been in ministry, you will find the practical classes at RBTI extremely beneficial. The training is quite flexible and allows you to work while attending.
The minimum age for admission is 16. Asides this, there is really no admission requirement apart from a passion for God’s word and work. However, you should be able to read or write English or Hausa since these are the 2 language used in the classes.
Redeemed Christian Bible College
The RCBC is an offshoot of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and a brainchild of the General Overseer of RCCG.
The vision of this college is train minister all over the world to be effective leaders, administrators and ambassadors of the college.
RCBC was founded in 1980 and presently has 13 centers, 7 departments, 64 courses and 971 campuses. Abuja Bible College
The vision of the Abuja Bible College is to glorify Jesus in West Africa through the preaching of faithful ministers.
If you have an evangelical conviction or a gift in bible teaching and you need your gifting to be properly harnessed, the ABC is highly recommended.
The duration of the course is 2 years for part time and 1 year full time. They offer courses that focus on aspects of ministry like the principles of expository teaching, pastoral ministry, evangelical essentials, and engaging with God’s world.
Word of Faith Bible Institute
WOFBI is the training arm of the Living Faith Church Worldwide. The courses taught at WOFBI are quite applicable to both spiritual and secular life.
The ministry has produced over 150 000 graduates since its establishment in 1986.

Gospel Apostolic Church Bible College
Located in Gbagada, Lagos State, the GACBI has a vision of raising disciples for Christ among all nations. It is the brainchild of the Gospel Apostolic Church.
International Bible Training Centre
This college was established by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry. The purpose of the centre is to develop soul winners, church planters, fruit bearers, character builders and serving as dynamic witnesses of the abundant life Jesus came to offer. According IBTC, the curriculum is designed by the leading of the Holy Ghost.
Their courses help to acquaint the students with the essential truths of Christian Ministry and prepare their students for all facets of ministry.
The training is a twelve months programme and can be undertaken by pastors, evangelist, soul winners, Christian ministers and workers.
