Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), named after Nigeria’s first Prime Minister Late Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, is a Federal University of Technology. It is situated in Bauchi, Bauchi state, Nigeria. The University’s motto is “Doctrina Mater Artium”, which when translated, means “Education is the Mother of the Practical Arts.”

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Admission Process:
Admission into ABTU is quite competitive. The procedure for gaining admission ino the University is as follows.
All candidates who partook in the most recent UTME exercise, and who had a score of 180 and above, and also chose ATBU Bauchi as either their first choice or second choice institution are invited for an online screening. Prospective candidates are to then log on to the University’s website (www.atbu.edu.ng), log in with their JAMB registration number as the username. Afterwards, they are to generate a special RRR number (Remita Retrieval Reference Number) to be used for making payment for the screening at any of the designated banks, or via any of the enabled online platforms.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi is one institution that offers quality education at very low tuition fees. Furthermore, tuition fees in this institution depends on the department and faculty that one belongs to, and also the year in question – that is, whether the candidate is a ‘Fresher’ or a ‘Stalite’.
